In mid-May the WELCA Kits & Quilts were packed up for shipping. We sent a total of 27 School Kits, 20 Layette Kits, 22 Health Kits, and 19 Quilts. This year we have taken advantage of WELCA’s tracking Program. We will be tracking where in the world our Kits & Quilts end up, and who they end up ultimately serving. Throughout the year we will post tracking updates here in the Tidings.
A big thank you goes out to everyone in the congregation who brought items in for the Kits, to those who spent time putting the Kits together and to the Quilters who made all the Quilts. A special thank you goes to Dorthey Thompson, Lynda Elwood and Jennie Fenrich who packed up the boxes and to Doug Thompson for driving our items to Seattle.
