ADVOCACY TEAM NOTES
Pastor Paul Benz led an information session Sept, 19th during the adult/youth forum time. We learned that regardless of our political beliefs, we all can strive for justice and peace as this is a part of what we have been called to do by our baptism. Trinity's Advocate group plans to meet every other month over the next year. We will have
letter writing sessions to our elected officials, learn about issues affecting our state and how we can be an active participant in helping bring our voices to those we have elected, and how acts of charity/acts of justice are connected.
Saturday, October 23, 9am-2pm, "Faith Based Advocacy:Building a Toolkit for
Action" will meet at Langley United Methodist Church, 3rd St at Anthers Ave,Langley WA, on south Whidbey. Cyndi Nielsen plans to attend - join her to learn more on how to be an advocate.
