CHRISTMAS BASKETS

It’s that time of year!  Your planning committee wants to give you an early start to think about the families and food items needed to fill up their Christmas Baskets this year.  This is a great opportunity for families, friends and small groups within Trinity to work together to spread some holiday cheer.  We are going to take a different approach with our baskets this year.  We will provide a Christmas Meal and Gifts instead of food for a week and gifts.
The funds from the Thrivent program has changed this  year.  The Thrivent funds
Trinity receives will be a lot less than in the past, therefore the idea of  the meal.  The committee will put their heads together and develop a Christmas Meal menu.  We will provide you with different options, for example, a food list , a set price for a meal, etc.  More details will be forthcoming in the November Pew News and during church
services.  The family names will be available Sunday, November 28th.
We will be packing and distributing the Christmas Meal and Gifts on Sunday,
December 18th.  Also again this year we will fill jars with dry ingredients for cookies the families can make.  There will be one for each of the Christmas families.  We are coming up with some other ideas for the families and the Saturday pick up time and will share them as the time gets closer...as always it will be fun!
If you have any questions  please contact either Jennie Fenrich, Julie Jansen, or Susan Grazier.
