Clara Griffin, AIM, to Retire

A Letter from Clara

For Everything There Is a Season

It has been my great joy to serve this wonderful congregation as your Associate in Ministry.  I will greatly miss interacting with many of you on a daily basis, but know that the season has come for me to retire from that position in order to have more time for my family.  Trinity is such a gift!  I have been part of many churches, but have found none as generous, loving, and gracious as this congregation.  Trinity is truly the Place of Grace we claim to be.  I have been so blessed to work with Pastor Jocelyn and Pastor Lee and our interim pastors, Norm Nelson and Chris Anderson, as well as wonderful staff members and volunteers.  I am so honored to have been welcomed into your hearts and homes, and to share your faith and doubts, joys and sorrows, work and play.  My life has been enriched immeasurably by each of you!

While I am retiring from my call as Associate in Ministry, I will remain in my second position at Trinity as Director of Music, with some flexibility to allow John and I to be out of town occasionally.  I will also be assisting Pastor Jocelyn with visitation one day a week.  I will continue to participate in worship as liturgist at times, but other people will serve in that capacity, as well.  However, I will no longer be in the office and someone else will be managing the buildings, supervising employees, answering your questions, overseeing the day to day operations of the church and other administrative tasks.

I am very pleased and thankful that I will be able to continue to be involved in the life and ministry of Trinity and look forward to participating in new ways.  In the words of St. Paul, “I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now.”  Thank you for 18 wonderful years and may God continue to bless you richly!
