A work of heart!

September 19, 2009

Trinity Lutheran Church Dollhouse
A Work of Heart!

The house and furniture were purchased and started by Roz Fry in 1984.  Don and Dorthey Thompson took over the project in 1999, and it was completed by Duane and Pam Gleave in 2009.

The Country Style Dollhouse is 2’ by 3’, all plywood construction, with wood siding, shake roof and a wrap-around porch. The exterior is completely painted deep red with white trim. A table is included for the house to sit on.

The interior has six rooms: a country style kitchen, formal living room, two bedrooms, one bath and a large attic. The kitchen has hardwood floors, wainscoting, wallpaper, curtains and furnished with everything a kitchen might need. The formal living room has hardwood floors, a large oriental rug, painted walls, curtains and the right touches to make it homey. One bedroom is painted yellow, with beautiful curtains and bed coverings. The second bedroom is decorated with purple and greens. Both bedrooms have hardwood floors and painted walls. The bath has a vinyl tile floor, wallpapered walls, and period bath fixtures. All the windows, doors and floor moldings have been carefully crafted of wood.
