Food and Craft Festival Update

By Lynda Elwood |  December 4, 2008

Thanks to many, the 2008 Food and Craft Festival was a success on all levels.  Trinity crafters worked all year creating beautiful items.  Pies and baked goods appeared out of nowhere. Lunch was prepared, supper was served and Saturday morning the cinnamon rolls arrived. Crews set up tables, others covered them and the wares were set out.
The Tuesday before the Festival, the Gleaves set up a Lefse-making factory in the Fireside Room.  All the Lefse was sold by 2:00 pm the first day!
The winning quilt raffle ticket was drawn by Bertha Enger at her birthday party.  The winner was Diane Coughlin, Don & Dorthey Thompson’s daughter.
The Monday after, folks arrived to disassemble the whole thing and the left-overs were picked up by St. Vincent De Paul. Because you all got the word out, the attendance was great.
Due to all the generosity from the members and friends of Trinity, we were able to deposit $5700. If you have any suggestions for projects around the church that need to be done, please let someone know. We will be making a decision in January as to how to use the funds.
A special note of appreciation is due Dorthey Thompson who has chaired this event so ably for so many years. Her wealth of knowledge is legendary!
