Food and Craft Festival

Fast Approaching

October 2, 2011

As hard as it is to believe, Trinity’s Food and Craft Festival is just around the corner.  The dates this year are Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th from 10:00 to 3:00 both days.  We have a head start, as the lefse has been made, and is waiting in the freezer.  We thank the Gleaves for their expert coordination of this project.

Again, we are looking for your help with this major event.  We need bakers of pies, baked goods and coffee cake.  We will also need a volunteer to make carmel corn.  Our traditional lunch will be served on Friday, and a taco soup lunch on Saturday.

We have two lovely items for our raffle.  Lucy Peterson has donated one of her jewelry wall hangings done in a butterfly pattern, and a tea cart is the second raffle item.  Tickets will be sold at 3 for $5.00.  You may select which item you prefer to put your tickets in.

Of major importance to the success of the Festival is advertising.  Included in your Tidings is a flyer that we’re asking you to post in a public location.  We will also  have postcards available in the Fireside Room and the Church Office for you to take and distribute. You are welcome to take as many postcards as you can mail to those in your address book.   You may be surprised at who will come!

We will begin setting up following the 10:00 am service on Oct. 30th.  Watch for sign up sheets for baked goods, and to volunteer to work either day of the Festival.  Please address any questions to Dorthey Thompson or Lynda Elwood.
