Getting ready for VBS

Spring has arrived, and it’s time to start planning for summer!  Vacation Bible School will be held from 9:00 to noon, July 8^th – 12^th at Trinity.  We’ll have a rip roarin’ good time down on the ranch at SonWest Roundup! All children, age 3 through those entering 7^th grade are welcome!  Volunteers are also needed to help guide groups throughout the morning, create craft projects, lead the games center, and serve snacks.

We also need western style decorations and many supplies for crafts and games.  Among some of the supplies needed are: 

~15 yds. 18-guage copper wire         

~ 1 Can Chalkboard paint

 ~ 30 yds. 20-guage copper wire               

~ 2 Pkgs. Dried beans

~ 25-4” square papier mache boxes              

~15 Manila folders

~ 15 yds. Black, 3mm nylon coated we       

~ 15 votive candles

~17.5 yds. Black Cotton Cord             

 ~3 to 4 skeins thick yarn

~ 30 Fabric strips, measuring 1” X 36”

~ 15 Fabric blocks, measuring 2” X 3 1/2”

~ 15 Pennies ~ 15 Pint sized canning jars (no lids needed)

~ Western stickers (horses, cactus, cows, etc.)

~ 15 White t-shirts (youth size M & L)

~ 1 box each sandwich size and quart size ziploc bags

~ 15 each bandanas in red, blue, white and green colors

~ Cowboy hats, boots, ropes, etc. to be used for decor.
