Lent and Ash Wednesday
After much discussion between Central Lutheran, Trinity Lutheran College and ourselves, Trinity, it was decided that all services this year will be held jointly. We are going to eliminate the Wednesday, Noon Lenton Services that were held at Trinity and instead hold Wednesday evening Lenten soup dinner and services. All services, beginning Ash Wednesday, running through Lent and the Holy Week are open to all - young and old - for all 3 congregations.
Ash Wednesday, February 18
Central Lutheran will host this year's service. We will gather at 7:00pm to begin our Lenten Journey.
Lenten Wednesday Evenings
Trinity, Central and Trinity College will gather together each Wednesday, here at Trinity. 6:00 pm soup dinner, 7:00 pm Holden Evening Prayer. Kids are welcomed! As a matter of fact, they will be a vital part of the service.
Many world religions use the image of the tree of life when depicting their central beliefs and values. This year in our mid-week service the three congregations will be creating "our joint" tree of life.
Come and be a part of history and something exciting as the three congregations come together for the first time to do ministry and worship together.
Wednesday Evening Service Themes:
February 25 - The dirt that is needed to grow a tree.
March 4 - The roots that ground the tree.
March 11 - The trunk of the tree.
March 18 - The caring for the tree's growth.
March 25 - The leaves that the tree produces.
