Our local benevolence for August is Lutheran Immigration & Refugee Services. This organization ensures that newcomers receive the warm welcome they deserve.  They work with churches and organizations across the country to create welcoming communities.  They foster cultural integration and financial self sufficiency for those starting over in a new home.
