New Welcome Statement

In celebration of our 15th anniversary as a Reconciling In Christ (RIC) congregation, a committee worked hard to create a Trinity Welcome Statement. At the Council meeting on March 19, the council did indeed adopt this updated version of the proposed welcome statement:
God loves everyone! Trinity Lutheran Church, a place of grace, strives to express this by welcoming and serving one another and our neighbors. We open ourselves and our doors to the whole host of humanity: people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions; people of all cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds; and people of all abilities. We commit to learning and growing in the work of welcome and to challenging all barriers that divide us. We hold ourselves accountable to racial equity and anti-racist, anti-colonialist values. We thank God for the gift of human diversity and invite you to grow with us!
