Seeking Church Nursery Attendant

February 5, 2014

Everett area church seeks a nursery attendant to be present during all worship services and some special events.  Applicants should have a love of working with children, and a desire to encourage them in their discovery of God.  Previous experience working with young children is required.
Position entails arriving at the church half an hour before services and special events begin. Ending time will vary slightly, but no later than one hour after the services or special events end. As families and children arrive, attendant must ensure that requisite paperwork is on file. Attendant will be responsible for children ages infant through 3 years old. The attendant’s responsibilities will include playing with the children or directing their play, reading with them, enjoying music together, praying for each child, and facilitating basic care such as snacks, diaper changes, and naps.  The attendant will ensure a safe, secure, clean, and nurturing environment for the children.
The attendant will ensure all children are picked up from the nursery by an approved adult, and will ensure that everything is put away in the nursery. Toys will be properly cleaned and disinfected by attendant, on a monthly basis.
Applicants must be CPR, including infant, certified and go through background check before employment begins.  Along with a resume, please submit at least one reference.
Pay is hourly and negotiable based on experience.

Resumes and References may be sent to Amy Stamatiou at Children@TrinityLutheranEverett.com.
