STATE WIDE CALL IN

A state wide Call In Sponsored by Lutheran Public Policy Office and Washington
Association of Churches Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 7 pm.

As the State Legislative Session begins its new session on January 10th, join advocates from around the state the Wednesday before on a Legislative Update CALL IN.  Lutheran Public Policy Office Director Paul Benz and others will brief advocates on the current issues pertaining to the state budget.  We will look in detail at current and projected cuts to health and human services, and environmental programs in the supplemental budget for the current fiscal year, and the Governor’s proposed budget for the next biennium.  We will review our joint LPPO/WAC 2010 legislative agenda and the policy issues we are prioritizing now as the session begins.  For a copy of our legislative agenda visit www.lppowa.org  We will give advocates concrete steps to take to help preserve critical programs and further our policy agenda of reducing hunger, homelessness and poverty, caring for the environment, promoting health care and education, reforming the criminal justice system and advocating for civil and human rights.  CALL IN:  Wednesday January 5, 2011,  7 pm  The Call in number is 1-219-509-8222, Access Code: 672524.  Please RSVP for this call by contacting LPPO at (206) 464-4133 or lppooffice@lcsnw.org
