Time to Transition

By Christa Johnson |  May 28, 2014

When I came here the summer of 2010 I was confused about where God was leading me.  I had just left a 7 year ministry focused on China and was unsure about my future.  In my time at Trinity I have had the opportunity to hear the stories of the homeless and had the resources to assist them through TAB.  Thanks to my experiences at Trinity, God has formed within me a passion to serve homeless families.  With this passion, we (my family and church) are creating emergency housing in our garage, which we are calling “Room at the Inn”, to assist families in crisis.  A part-time (10-20 hours a month) job with Interfaith as a Case Manager, helping families coming out of homelessness and establishing
stability, seemingly fell on my lap.  Originally it was my intention to stay at Trinity and manage everything else, but if I want to truly focus on “Room at the Inn” and assist families in crisis, it has become evident that I need to resign as Trinity’s Administrator.  I’m glad to be departing for exciting reasons, but sad to be leaving all of you!  You have blessed me, Trinity, and I thank you for this.
With much love, Christa
